Because it's the humiliation of being knocked out by Brook that Khan fears. He's already been KO'd several times, he's used to that, that's not the issue.
It's the fact that it would be by a fellow Brit who he used to belittle. It would be a massive loss of face for him in Britain and end his career.
It's basically a choice between losing to Brook and losing to Crawford, so he'll choose Crawford.

That was also to swerve getting smashed by Brook. The outcome of that fight was the most predictable I've ever known. What was Canelo going to do to the guy KO'd by Prescott and Garcia?

Exactly! It's about Khanvas' pride. Though words "pride" and "Khanvas" don't fit in the same sentence.

My point was. AK is no chicken, knowing he has a glass jaw; he fights a guy 2 divisions bigger then him.

R U saying he preferred to risk death than fight Brook?

Nobody is saying Crawford is an easier fight. Nobody. You've missed the point. Everyone is pointing out that Khan is terrified of the humiliation of losing to Brook because he's a fellow Brit who he used to talk down to.
Everyone knows Khan will lose to Crawford, he's p4p top 5. Khan doesn't even deserve that fight, he hasn't held a title since July 2012, at 140. He's never even held a title at 147.
For Khan, it's a choice between losing to Crawford or lose to Brook in humiliating style in the UK, so he'll choose Crawford.
And it's true that the Brook Khan fight doesn't mean anything now, Brook just want the payday, beating Khan really doesn't hold much credibility anymore. Brook should just forget about him and fight someone more relevant if wins his next fight.

I'm saying he'd rather get KO'd by Canelo than Brook. He used to constantly say he was better than Brook, he was in a different league, he was elite etc.
He would never live down getting destroyed by Brook in Britain after making out he was superior for so long.

'Risking death' has got nothing to do with it. Every fight for a boxer is potentially a life threatening one.

Has plenty because you incur a much larger risk of death or severe injury fighting someone 30-40 pounds heavier than fighting soeone at your own weight.

That bit of fear'' he's talking about seems to be why he keeps walking away from a Brook fight. The fear of losing to a fellow Brit is too much for him.
