Comments Thread For: Wilder: Joshua Getting What's Deserved; Ain't About Him No More

Deontay Wilder joked Tuesday that Anthony Joshua and Eddie Hearn must've vomited as his fascinating fight against Tyson Fury unfolded. However Hearn and Joshua actually felt while watching Wilder-Fury, Wilder isn't interested in his handlers resuming negotiations with Hearn, Joshua's promoter, for their heavyweight title unification fight. The unbeaten WBC champion feels Fury deserves an immediate rematch following their 12-round split draw Saturday night at Staples Center in Los Angeles.

Wilder you are irrelevant and you got exposed by Fury.. You kept talking about AJ before the fight and yet again you're still talking about him.. You're proving it's still about him by talking about him! This fight was supposed to help your negotiations against AJ but it's hindered it.. Infact Fury and AJ can faze you out as Fury is rightfully the WBC champ.

I prefer Fury and Wilder to AJ but Wilder is wrong.

AJ does really need to get in the mix with these two, but when the dust settles from the weekends fight and the excitement/aftermath dies down, AJ is still the biggest draw in the division and holds the other 3 titles.

People are acting like he's insignificant because everyone is talking about Fury & Wilder at this very moment and they're high on that but that'll die down. AJ is still right up there and the division money man.

I wonder if the ppv numbers that they are getting are good if they are talking rematch so soon.

This fight proves two things. Fury is back plus is the lineal champ of the world and Wilder's right hand is legit.

Still doubt AJ wants any part of that

He's not wrong. HW was looking like the Joshua show co-staring Wilder. Now its looking like one of those ensemble cast shows with equal billing...The Tyson, Anthony & Deontay Show.

Granted Joshua is still gonna be the guy with the best numbers for time being, but that #1 spot seems less secure now.

The biggest draw in the division? AJ is just a rumor outside of the UK. He has drawn zero, zilch outside of home. If he can get $20 million for a Whyte rematch, I think they'll buy any shiney thing over there. I might invest in some beads and hand held mirrors and trade with the natives.

Wilder should fight Joshua next take his belts while working on his boxing skills try get fury to fight Ortiz hoping fury loses which he won't and then fight fury in rematch much bigger fight with all stake n the line. Wilder gone need a little more practice to beat fury outright. Joshua that's an easy fight for wilder for joshua doesn't move and easy to hit plus usually gets caught so I don't see him taking Wilder shots all night. Plus it'd give him more credibility and practice plus make the rematch with fury like 3-5x bigger
