Comments Thread For: Fielding: I've Sacrificed Everything, It Will Pay Off in Canelo Fight

WBA "regular" 168-pound champion Rocky Fielding's embraced his underdog role entering his American debut against two-division champion Canelo Alvarez, who is rising in weight for their December 15 clash at New York's Madison Square Garden while retaining his WBA and WBC 160-pound titles.

Good luck to Fielding but i saw him get a gift v John Ryder who is about a similar size and height to Canelo, just about 10 levels below, at least.

Totally out of his depth i think, but fair play to him. Hope he gets well paid and puts up a decent showing.

I legit forgot this fight was in two weeks.

Fielding seems like a good dude. Hopefully the fight is fairly exciting though Canelo should outclass him fairly easy.

Fielding is a decent fighter, but definitely not championship caliber.

It's good for Fielding that he's getting a big fight and some good money. It's not nice for the fans who want to see a better fight. Of course, his chances of winning are zero and none.

Get ko'd early, get home with a big purse, it will certainly pay off.

I see what you were trying to imply there, but what's more accurate is just another Mexican cherry picking a scrub from the UK and trying to pass it off as a relevant title win. Examples include Canelo vs hatton, Canelo vs Smith, now canelo vs fielding. I won't even get into Canelo vs khan.

I never seen this guy fight, but I’m assuming it’s just a cake walk for Canelo.
