I agree that both Lewis and Vitali were much better than Fury and Wilder. While past prime Lewis beat prime Vitali fairly he won because he cut Vitali bad enough that the fight was stopped. Had the Vitali not been cut I am sure he would have knocked Lewis out. Vitali had a much better chin than Lewis and was never knocked down in any fight while Lewis was knocked out cold twice.

I disagree completely. I think stylistically Vitali would be quite easy work for Tyson Fury, in the same way that I think Luis Ortiz would also. Lewis vs Fury would be a great fight, but honestly I'd edge toward a fully fit Fury. Wilder is a tough one for anybody, even though Fury beat him well, he had to get up off the floor twice. He's easy to outbox, but he's so athletic, and also, for me, his biggest danger is that he's at his most dangerous when he is hurt. If you go try and finish Wilder off, you've got massive swings coming back at you. Let's not make it seem like Lewis was unbeatable, he lost twice by KO. He did great to win the rematches, but he was also absolutely garbage in a big fight against Mercer, was lucky with the score, and was getting well beaten by Frank Bruno on points before the knockout, and was losing to Vitali.Comment

Yeah he was a brawler if it came to that. I remember the fight vs Sanders.. that was a heck of a brawl. I don't think Fury would have hurt him. Vitali was a far more resourceful and cunning fighter than Wlad and could adapt his style during the fight. He'd give Fury a hiding.Comment
