Strong chin? Hasn't been tested.
Vanes is like Cotto, what I would call a plodder.
But in comparison, to say.. Amir Khan, possibly the biggest prospect in Britain, but Vanes is overall, a more complete fighter.
His defense is there, he's not ****y, and he doesn't have wild moments, Amir Khan's defense is sloppy as the fight progresses, he IS ****y, and he likes to exchange too much.
But in Amir Khans favour, he has faster feet, faster hands, and he can pop too.

Out of the lot I picked Malignaggi, because he can hang with the big guys, and he's proved it.

i hear you about the strong chin not having been tested yet, BUT, Vanes has never been knocked down in over 100 amateur fights, and hasnt lost a single ROUND as a pro.

Vanes has fought "ok" opposition as a pro thus far and from what we have seen, his chin is pretty damn strong after taking some pretty good shots.
Andre Ward started as a pro with Vanes after they got back from 04 Olympics, and already many people are skeptical about Andre's chin and
think he wont live up to the hype.

so, you can somewhat tell early on, but still you dont know for sure i guess until that REAL challenger comes.

I hear ya, in comparison to Andre, Vanes is the dark horse, he isn't mentioned as often as he should be.

In my opinion, Vanes is a better fighter than Andre, I can see Andre making championship status, and not being able to defend it for a very long time.

He got dropped by a no-name, and only just grabbed a UD.

Vanes isn't tested as of yet, it's too early, and when he becomes a contender, no doubt we will see what he really is made of.

anthony durrell is the more impressive of the 2 brothers right now because hes got more power. And since 100% of his victories have come from KOs, hes obviously gonna be the most recognized fighter of the 2. But andre has way more boxing skills, and his style is exciting and VERY well structured. Hes not bad at any 1 aspect of the game. he is good at everything.

I saw dirells firts televised fight live. He was the undercard and announcers didnt even pay any attention to him. But as soon as he threw his first punch i knew he was gonna be great. seconds later he knocks his opponent out
