Like say for instance Alvarez vs GGG

At the time everyone knew what happened but already i'm starting to read articles that cite Canelo's draw and win over GGG like events that actually happened

Even last night Showtime pivoted straight to talking about how great of a fight it was like they didn't want to discuss the dreadful scoring, until Paulie came out and said hang on a minute here

I think it's human nature to like to have a clear narrative and that there's a relatively small window of time in which a semi-plausible story pushed hard enough will gradually come to be accepted as popular truth - ****, spin doctors and PR people do this crap all the time in the political sphere, so it shouldn't come as any surprise.

      100000% Ward, Canelo, etc...

That's the worse thing, that over time they get accepted and that's what actually make promoters not give a fk about short term controversies.

Castillo vs Floyd Jr is another one.

Ignorance can be a big part of it. People a couple of years from now who haven't even seen the fight will repeat what they've heard other biased trolls say. With time, lies become truth and truth gets warped and twisted. History proves this over and over. Once Ward stopped Kovalev, I knew most talk about the first fight would die which it did. Now, Canelo may as well have ran over GGG twice. Makes no difference now. The boxing world and powers that be are very well aware of this, too. So the narrative can be further pushed for future events. Every now and then a commentator who's known to be controversial can speak some truth for the fans in the know but that's all those fans will get. The others will push the narrative with no fight or feedback. And of course, you can easily push the "don't be a sore loser" narrative too. So yeah. You make a great point. It's been like this forever. It sucks but it is what it is. At least we have videos now. So anyone now and in the future can go back and watch and make up their own minds.

A lot of people dont care about robberies as long as it go's for the fighter they support. Youve actually got posters complaining that the ref didnt wave it off prematurely

It's frightening that daylight robberies are acceptable.
