I also saw that Yvon's people used the wrong word. His status was not "evolved". The hospital said it was elevated to stable.

Anyway, they will take him out of coma which I presume means stop the artificial respiration, or attempt to, on Friday.
Where did you get the info about friday ?

          Clear difference.
          Evolved just means changed.
          Elevated means status improved.

Danm, this is confusing ! In the article you posted on the tread you started they say that they will keep him in artificial coma until the weekend so that he has a better chance at recuperating. So which is it, is he under controlled sedation and semi conscious or in and artificial coma with minimal brain fonctions ???

Is that where the elevated status comes in to play ?

Elevated status was used because he was critical, now stable.
RE sedation etc, I believe that's all the same thing. I addressed that before hopefully correctly. But I guess there may be variations or a continuum.

He's getting artificial respiration. To tolerate that you either have to be in a coma already or have it induced with drugs/sedated..
If he's stable, I presume it means no serious brain damage occurred.

Are you up there in Quebec? or elsewhere in CA?

Although that's what they said about David Whittom:

Maybe there is a difference in the meaning of stable being that this was said post op for a brain hemorrhage.
