    What was Eddie Hearn's angle?

Saying the fight would never happen

    Lying about ticket sales

Saying Fury wasn't ready and signed the fight just for the money

He ran around hating on this fight more than he did promoting his DAZN fights. And this fight had nothing to do with him or AJ. This fight makes the AJ vs. Wilder/Fury fight even bigger. A good heavyweight division is good for the sport overall

Has Eddie always been a hater like this but we didn't realize it until he came to America? What was he trying to accomplish?

He knew Fury had potential to expose Wilder; thus reducing the hype vs AJ.

That 50mill offer may never be back on the table now.

Hearn has embarrassed himself and the sport. Promoters shouldn't be degrading other cards and events, they should concentrate on their own. Warren has been guilty of this as well, but not as bad as Hearn imo.

He only said what many others said. I think a lot of people were unsure the fight would actually happen and many said Fury/Warren were just cashing out.

Also, the truth is that the ticket sales had been slow up until near the fight, but that seems to be the case a lot in USA. Hearn said it's something he learned a week or so ago when the Kansas card happened and that happened with his tickets.

Not a Hearn fan, but really he's just answering questions that reporters ask him, it's not like he's going out of his way to speak about it. If that was his opinion when asked a question, then that's fair enough. He was wrong but it is what it is. He did come across as overly negative about it, but he wasn't the only one.

You watch the interviews from both teams in order and after months of Wilder and Fury taking digs and chatting crap about AJ and Hearn, Hearn starts to bite back, what did you expect? . He stopped saying ages ago that the fight wouldnt happen, stop creating some false narrative just so you can hate.

Last night just showed Wilders crap and will get KO'D when AJ walks him down and puts some combo's on him something Wilder can't do even on the pads ffs. Also that Fury could be competive with AJ but I reckon AJ could have more success than Wilder as he will go to the body to slow fury down much faster, again something which Wilder or his team couldn't even figure out to do.

Wilder should sack his team they sound like a bunch of yes men just taking his money.

No no no no no. Other promoters were asked the same questions. He was the only one to respond the way he did. What was his angle?

That is the case here due to the crazy pricing. Usually the last few days of a big fight the ticket sales start to go down some. Really makes no sense to purchase tickets unless you want certain seating until the week of the fight.

By the way, Hearn knows this very well. He knew the ticket sales go slow until the week of the fight yet he was still killing the fight. Hearn was being a hater and it definitely wasn't a good look, but in the back of the mind he knew that Fury could have potentially ruined his plans and if the PPV did good numbers, then Wilder would be able to demand a solid split.

I think he tries extremely hard to nail down the Wilder fight for April. This way he can get that fight as well as the Fury fight. If Wilder/Fury rematch and Fury dominates? Then there goes the big Wilder fight. Though the Fury fight becomes MASSIVE, but is it not already massive? Will be the biggest fight in the UK history regardless.

The two teams talked back and forth about THEIR fight. Eddie had nothing to do with this fight yet every chance he got he was trying to **** on the fight. I didn't see Warren, Finkell, and Dibella ****ting on the AJ-Povetkin fight.

Wilder-Joshua/Joshua-Wilder (however you want to market it) is THE fight to make in boxing, he wants it on his terms in the UK, but he has no intention of negotiating fair value.

The more he dogged the fight and talked down Fury, the smaller the event would hopefully be, the less he could offer for the Joshua fight.

What so they're allowed to call Hearn and AJ liars, duckers, *******, frauds, big stiff idiot, paper champ constantly to promote their fight of AJ'S name but Hearn isn't allowed to express his doubt in the fight happening with Fury's track record and the fact that thry said the fight was made and it was easier than working with Hearn didn't announce anything official for a month. What do you think Hearns gonna say when asked by the interviewer what he thinks? They drag him and AJs name through mud throughout the whole promotion to try and build themselves.

I think the guy was just havked about being disrespected, he only promotes the further mentioning. What else did he say that's so disrespectful and got you butthurt anyway?
