Comments Thread For: Finkel: Wilder Was Too Anxious, Too Focused on Getting a KO

DEONTAY WILDER's team will probably' make another offer to Anthony Joshua for an undisputed heavyweight showdown. Wilder retained his WBC title in a pulsating split decision draw with Tyson Fury in Los Angeles last night. After being outboxed for the majority of the contest, the Bronze Bomber produced two stunning late knockdowns to ensure the much-coveted green belt would not change hands.

Andre Ward called this... No way they fight Fury again. He beats Wilder easier in a rematch.

Fury doesn't deserve a rematch, and likely won't get one. Wilder is still the champ and now has bigger fish to fry. Fury had his chances, Wilder was there to be beaten and he couldn't capitalize. This is the fight-game, not goodwill... team Wilder is not obligated to give Fury any handouts.

Finkel finkel finkel... trying to save face. He was simply outclassed, dazed and didn't know what to do. The two great knockdowns were more attrubuted to the clumsiness of fury than wilder setting up his punches.

If I was a wilder fan, what would worry me is that you continue this line of rhetoric that you are prepared to gamble on knocking somebody out and not sort his boxing issues out. If you can't see it how it is, fury will make easier work second time around...

Fury deserved the win yesterday but no way Joshua can do what fury did as far as defense and resiliency. Wilder kos him. Expect Hearn to find a way out of this fight..... Again.

Agree. Wilder has always thrived off his confidence, but that has to be shaken. You could see it in his eyes and body language as he recognized the skill gap last night. He might not be so confident about AJ either, but I really do not think he wants a rematch with Fury.

Wilder deserves a rematch don’t be so harsh on him. He still knocked Fury down twice and didn’t stop throwing his telegraphed right hand. He will win his WBC belt back if he is focused...... oh S#hit a controversial draw against a no puncher. There isn’t no bigger fish. We will take the reigns from here pal was your night to shine and you let a gypsie gate crash your entry to the big time. F#uck off and go and fight Breazeale

Fury gave Wilder a boxing lesson plain and simple and 2 knock downs doesn't overcome losing 9 rounds. Everyone saw the bad decision coming. The one judge giving Wilder the first four rounds - I hope him and his family die in a horrific accident caused by a natural disaster.

Wilder was so broken after the fight he said that he needs to keep the fight in the US. Of course he does.

Funny thing. People said the samething about him and Kovalev. Funny how he doesn't seem to remember that.

If Wilder isn't fighting Joshua, he will 100% be fighting Fury next.
