He has shown what hard work, a strong mind set and determination can get you. Wilder has very limited skills but he will eventually land his power once or twice even against the best defensive fighters in the world...Have to give him credit for that, he has made the money needed to care for his family and his sick daughter and he will get atleast 1 or 2 more nice paydays to retire on...
Wilder has done an amazing job making to where he is with his limited skill set

Agreed. He's smarter than he's given credit for, he hides his limitations well, but elite guys will always expose those things and that's what happened last night.
The threat of his power make a him difficult for anyone.
He's also a good guy
I think Fury Joshua and Wilder are all good guys, different characters, got far too much stick from fan boys hereComment

I don't know why some are saying his stock went down or he was exposed.
He's 10x better than he was a few years ago.
Old looping haymaker Wilder would have retired on his stool by rd 6 last night. He has polished his style a LOT.
Anger at the judges? Obviously, but Wilder has still improved.Comment

I agree. I like his mentality. As i said in another thread, notoriously tough fighters have quit on their stool v Fury, or resigned themselves to defeat during the fight because they can't figure him out. So i admire Wilder's mentality that he kept trying.
But in the end as i said in the build up on here, Fury is just a natural boxer that was raised doing it and Wilder isn't and it was always going to show in the fight. You can't be that limited and expect to just blow away someone with that boxing IQ, history has shown us that.
In a way, i'm actually glad Wilder got some knockdowns, because at least he got to showcase that his power is genuine at the top level. He lost clearly, but he got to show something for his winners mentality. He isn't a bum and never has been. He's world level with elite power but obvious flaws that only the very best will exploit. If it was that easy to expose his flaws, someone would've done it before last night.
He just ran into a very, very good and smart boxer. It happens to pretty much everyone. No shame in that. No shame in losing to a man who took Wlad's belts. You don't win fights at that level against Wlad by a fluke. Fury is genuinely very good.Last edited by EasternEuroFan; 12-02-2018, 03:57 PM.Comment

I don't know that at all! Speak for yourself, I think Joshua has more than a good chance to get there first. Better mechanics, and he sets them up better. I say it's a pick em but Joshua more likelyComment

Agreed, I think Wilder should not duck Fury and aim for a career retiring payday with AJ.He has shown what hard work, a strong mind set and determination can get you. Wilder has very limited skills but he will eventually land his power once or twice even against the best defensive fighters in the world...Have to give him credit for that, he has made the money needed to care for his family and his sick daughter and he will get atleast 1 or 2 more nice paydays to retire on...
If he fights Fury again, he will be totally, utterly, outmatched and outclassed and miss out on the AJ lottery.Comment
