Don't rant. Look at the facts.
Jeff 'The Hornet' Horn would go on to beat Manny unanimously at the Battle of Brisbane. There were no controversies about draws or anything with the judges. None of them Australian, mind you.
Now, let's look at last night.
What I saw was a very similar flow that should have resulted in a very clear unanimous for the Gypsy King. But what happened?
What happened was that the judges gave Wilder the benefit of the doubt, likely because he's the champion. In rounds where neither guy really shined, they just defaulted to give them to Wilder. I know some people think that's good, but it's not. You're rewarding half-ass effort and just causing problems. Same situation with Badou Jack when he fought Adonis Stevenson.
I think judges are actually taught to do this so I don't blame them. I blame the system. If a champion doesn't fight to keep their belt, they should lose it.
- Jeff Horn was the aggressor in 7 of the 12 rounds.
- Jeff Horn controlled and dictated the pace of the fight in all but four rounds.
- Jeff Horn's actual connect percentage was low.
- By and large Manny wasn't active enough throughout the fight.

- By and large Wilder wasn't active enough throughout the fight and when he was active, he was missing punches.
