Did anyone else notice Fury buzzed Wilder at least a few times

People sleep on Fury's power. There is a reason why fighters don't rush him. He's a bit like Floyd in that sense, he has more pop then you think and he def buzzed Wilder up a few times, in fact I think he did it both times after getting off the canvas. Plus a right hand early in the third round I believe, and then again in the mid rounds where he landed a few one two's in a short period and you saw a visible reaction in Wilder's legs.

Pretty sure he did at least a few times (I mean, it's a heavyweight bout), but it's really hard to tell from all the awkward movement Wilder does.

I remember a few times where Wilder threw recklessly and got tangled up, Fury started working on the inside and Wilder it seemed didn't want to be there.

He had him hurt several times. Wilder looked lost, and intimidated around the 4th round onward. Fury was landing straight rights and left and right hooks and uppercuts and body shots behind his educated jab, and had Wilder guessing all night. Wilder also had a mouse under his left eye early, that speaks for itself.

He definitely looked unsteady a few times I think if Fury had pushed it he could have put him in proper trouble, but I guess they figured, why give him a chance

I noticed that too. Fury is so big that he’s naturally strong, but he chooses to go the smarter route and win on points. He has the height and reach, so it wouldn’t make sense for him to be careless in the heavyweight division, especially against Wilder. Paul Williams never used his height and reach right and got KO’d cold against the much shorter Sergio Martinez.

I felt that Fury could’ve won his last fight by KO, but he wanted to get the full 10 rounds to prepare for the 12 round fight against Wilder. Now that Fury has fought his first 12 round fight in 3 years (Wlad fight), I think now he’ll be more prepared in the rematch. His conditioning will only get better after another training camp, and he’ll be able to avoid Wilder easier in the latter rounds. Maybe even stop Wilder.

He did buzz him up a few times.

What I cannot get over is how Fury seems like some giant bumbling oaf, but can show show graceful movement, stamina and quick accurate combos LOL. He has come a long way from the days of punching himself in the face

there was one occasion where Fury got him with a right hand on the inside when they were in the corner and I thought Wilder was there to be taken out but Fury isn't a finisher

I think he's a classic case of fighting to his opponents level, some fighters are just wired that way. I remember thinking he was garbage in his early days, he had a war with John McDermott. But then people used to rave about him in and around UK gyms, and that made me carry on following his career. When Manny Steward came out with that interview, I knew he was the goods.
