Not sure about the guy Groves fought. But it happen to Prichard-Colon and Magomed comes to mind

The guy Groves fought is Gutknecht. He is severely brain damaged, in a wheelchair etc. He was in a coma for ages. It was only 2 years ago.

That was an absolutely brutal knockout, the worst of the year by far. What made it so bad is the fact that it happened late in the fight, while Stevenson was fatigued. Then you add the fact that he's 40 and it just doesn't look good.

Hope he's OK. If he is, he should really call it a career.

Yeah that's the worst part. He looked exhausted and that last combination he got hit with was vicious. I really hope he's alright.

Man, I don't know what's wrong with me but this is hurting me emotionally. I've been a critic and somewhat of a hater towards this guy. I know some of the bad stories about his past offences but I hate to see him have any serious brain trauma and it would be heartbreaking if he died from this. I really hope he is ok. I feel guilty for the pleasure I got from seeing him get beat the way he did. I love the violence of boxing but this kind of thing is devastating. Think of his family and all the hopes and dreams that he has for his life.
