    Because nobody cares anymore.

The business men behind it are not ******. They're not going to invest money into a dying sport. It's like flogging a dead horse.

You will always get the odd big fight that people will tune into, but many people now are just thinking the whole sport is a farce because it's all corrupt.

You get crappy officiating in UFC but I never saw a match where I thought "That was a blatant fix".

The standard of fighting in MMA is generally improving but their heavyweights are still practically immobile.

You're ignorant of you think the UFC has fewer controversial decisions. Doubly ignorant if you think mma is taking over.

MMA even has some of the SAME JUDGES DOING THE SAME SHYT. Like Adelaide Byrd.

It’s unfortunate; difficult to find bars or news on tv for boxing where I am nowadays.

Even with an HBO subscription in the past, I’d never get to see the fights live; always a delayed 2 hour feed.

Almost every big boxing event that might be attracting a new audience seems to leave everyone with a bitter taste in their mouth with bad decisions and whatnot. It turns people off the sport because they wonder why they bother watching/buying. It's happening far too much.

Boxing keeps shooting itself in the foot when it's time to shine.
UFC has a lot of controversial decisions too. Randamie/Holm where Randamie was given a round because she illegally and INTENTIONALLY landed a punch clearly after the bell(did it twice) in a fight Holm should have been the clear winner on the cards. Bisping/Henderson was outright disgusting. Henderson beat the hell out of Bisping in what should have been 2 10-8 rounds and he loses a decision. Bisping vs Silva, Silva knocked him OUT before the round was over, Herb Dean allowed Bisping's corner to come in the octagon, pick him up and take him to the corner to recover in between the round hahaha. And you're talking about Boxing being controversial. Herb Dean is the Richard Steele/Laurence Cole of the UFC. He's mostly fair unless it's involving a popular UFC fighter that isn't supposed to lose. And those are just a few recent fights. You obviously don't have a clue what you're talking about and don't watch UFC at all

I don't know too many people that actually watch ESPN that much today other than the shows in which they sit around and talk bs to each other. Every major sport, except boxing and mma, has its own channel. But UFC has their own site and streaming(I think that's what it is). Too many promoters and greed in boxing for their to be a boxing channel. I remember back in 97 it was discussed, but good luck convincing Hearn, Haymon, DLH, and Arum to come together for the benefit of the fans hahaha. Plus there are too many goddamn belts now and being "active" is fighting twice a year. We love boxing, and yes it's f'd up, but MMA fighters eventually one day will use their brains other than a punching bag and will form a union and that will be the end of their bs.

MMA will eventually get corrupt as well. There's more money in boxing, which means there's more incentive for corruption. As MMA continues to grow, they'll start to gross even more money. More money = more corruption; no promoter/owner wants to mess up a multi-million dollar pay day lol might as well rig the fights and have all the cash cows win to set up even bigger fights

The difference is that MMA fights are easier to score and the wins are more obvious. There's a lot of ways you can win the fight, and a lot of ways to lose, more ways than you have in boxing - you can control your opponent on the ground, you can get a submission or a knockout. Boxing fights are more up to debate that's why there's more controversy. And of course, with a lot of promoters involved who doesn't want to lose their cash cows, it plays a part in it too, they don't have a monopoly like Dana White and it's in his best interest to keep his fights fair.
