But it's his own fault for not taking tough challenges until late in his career. Good scrap and credit to Gvodzyk

He would also have knocked out Jack a few years ago. It would not have made any difference if he had taken on tough challenges earlier and he did fight some tough guys earlier. He would still be 41 years old and still gets KOed by Gvodzyk. He fought very well for his age. Most guys are retired or completely shot at 41 and usually much younger than that.

It’s honestly good for boxing he lost, he held that title hostage. I was a massive fan after his foty rampage but he really disappointed and I don’t think he cares.
Oh well, new crowd taking over it seems

What makes you think he would have knocked Gvozdyk out a few years ago? He never fought anybody other than tough journeymen and contenders early on in his career. None of his early fights convinces me that he would have performed much better against Gvozdyk. I don't buy the age excuse either; Stevenson has had relatively few fights as an amateur and ended almost all of his professional fights in the first two rounds.

A few years ago Stevenson was supposed to fight Kovalev, and Kovalev’s jab probably damages as much as Gvozdyk’s right, so.....

and here come the fantasy doubters! he didn't fight anyone good his entire career just like ortiz. he beat dawson coming off a ko loss and some fringe level top 10 guys. then lost to the first talented next gen guy he fought. he was a super dud. he made that money though so he won that

Based on what? Stevenson has never done anything to suggest he beats elite competition. It was all just marketing.
