Great news to start the night, sad i missed it.
Did stevenson finally get put out to pasture?

Not really, tbh
Stevenson didn't really get beat up, the power/activity was still there, and he hurt Gvozdyk whenever he landed solid, almost putting him through the ropes late.
Teddy Atlas simply came up with a great game plan and Gvozdyk didn't deviate from it. Keep the distance, always circle left, fight off the angle, never sit square, fire your 2-3 shots and changed the angle, etc.
They fight 10 more times, and if Gvozdyk isn't all the way stuck to Teddy's tactics, he likely gets clipped 8 of 10 times. -

I don't think he was a hype job. I think he was a damn good fighter with some damn good KO wins to his credit. He finally got beat at age 41 by a good 31 year old. Most boxers are retired or absolutely shot at 41. For such an old boxer he fought very well and in his prime he was a hell of a fighter and a deadly puncher.Comment

Gvozdyk was simply the better fighter. Yeah, Stevenson always has that chance to clip Gvozdyk but the Ukrainian had a solid and almost completely dominating performance. Stevenson suffers from the same issues that Kovalev has which is unremarkable stamina and conditioning and a porous defense.Stevenson didn't really get beat up, the power/activity was still there, and he hurt Gvozdyk whenever he landed solid, almost putting him through the ropes late.
