What is it about American Heavyweights these days?

You know, being a boxing fan for well over 30 years. American Heavyweight boxing was the main thing.

I was a huge Tyson fan, Ray Mercer, Rid**** Bowe, Evander Holyfield, George Foreman, Larry Holmes and many others among the way. I was a huge fan of them. All other fighters who weren’t American i hated, especially if they came from the UK.

But nowadays with boxing and especially American heavyweight boxing I can’t stand our fighters. American heavyweight boxing just totally sucks.

With tonight’s upcoming fight which I plan not to watch, I will catch the round by round on this website, I find myself pulling for Fury.

Years ago I would have never pulled for a non American Heavyweight vs an American heavyweight, especially a UK heavyweight

I used to hate Lennox Lewis.

What has changed for old school American fans or just American fans in general with us not liking our fighters. I truly want Fury to win and to me that sounds crazy.

in the 90s LT was the highest paid defensive player in the year he made 2 mil...bowe, holyfield and tyson all made 100+ mil

joey bosas rookie deal had a nearly 20 mil signing bonus......and then another 20 something on top...and he can get another monster contract by the time hes 25-26.....nba contracts are ridiculous too....guys on the pine making 8-10 mil a year....guys most of america havent even heard of

You only plan not to watch because you’re broke and don’t know anywhere to watch it. The only thing wrong with american hw boxing is a certain group of Americans who don’t support american boxers.

I see a decline in American boxing in general, not just the Heavyweight division. And Deontay Wilder looks like much more of a badass than Daniel Cormier.
