  • Comments Thread For: Kauffman: Don't Blame Luis Ortiz; He Cheats Because They Let Him

LOS ANGELES Travis Kauffman knows every time he steps into a boxing ring that there's a chance neither he nor his opponent will leave it as healthy as when their fight began. That's among the reasons Kaumann never considered using performance-enhancing drugs. Permanently injuring an opponent or worse would be tough enough on Kauffman's conscience. It would be unbearable for the veteran heavyweight if he knew his PED use contributed to such devastating damage.

Facts lol I'm going for Ortiz but they don't enforce the rules on every cheat the same way. It all depends on their rank and how much money they'll make.

He ain't even talking trash, he's 100% right. They NEED to get more serious with drug testing. I have a feeling that we would be disgusted to see the true number of fighters that are on some form of banned substance and getting away with it. That's why when someone does get caught they should make the penalty so serious that it will deter people from taking the risk. Should have in contracts that if you are caught with banned substance than you forfeit your purse for that fight to the opponent and take a year suspension or something. 2nd offence 2 years. 3rd offence 3 etc. If you try to get an illegal edge than you should sit down for enuff time to make a difference. Some may end up having to sit out parts of their prime. Surely something strict like this would make all fighters think twice before attempting to cheat.

Yah it's all about business for most of them. Jon Jones in the UFC is a prime example. That guy should have had a 2 - 4 year suspension after being booked for doping second time, but the powers to be continue to reward bad behavior.

if Kauffman could not defeat Mansour, I don't see how he can beat Ortiz.

Damn, if Kaufman is right Joshua & Hearn will use that big money they have to create a bogus organization that says they continually test him, when they actually don't and could care less - the commission would be delighted. Or they could pay off or provide some "charitable contribution" to any established PED testing organization for the "good work" that they do in an effort for them to turn a blind eye - the commission would blush. Anythings possible....In other words the "commission" or "wife" would become a hoe for that dough .
