DAZN to introduce ads to their ad free platform lol

They've done it before. I mean look no further than HBO & Showtime which are the ATG's of premium channels w/o ads.

Fair play on them showing ads I just think its pretty silly to advertise yourself as a ad free platform & then show ads. Wtf kinda ****** sh^t is that?

Sounds to me like they've pivoted already. Maybe they are trying to re-fill their bank account or maybe they aren't seeing the numbers go up fast enough, but this doesn't seem like it was part of their plan A to me.

I do see they are showing the f#ck outta that Buffer/Canelo ad at the Vegas Sportsbooks whenever I pass them lately. So that musta cost them a nice chunk of change to.

... I don't live in the U.S. -- so I don't know what you see on TV... I only watch American Football live and it's ad free in my country -- which, by the way, it's very boring because of the extremely long breaks...

What exactly is FB style advertising when it comes to a TV network of sorts? This might be a dumb ass question but for some reason I'm drawing a blank on what this would be lol.

But again its still advertising. I don't get how you can call yourself an ad-free platform & then show ads...of any variety.

I've ran into this with other sh^t & idk why they don't throw up info about their own stuff. Ads are other peoples stuff. You're promoting your content to do "ads" on your own stuff.

Or idk why they don't let someone show us an interesting view as they go to their lil break or w/e. Keep it live the whole time I say. If I gotta pee bad enough I'll get up regardless if you keep trying to show me stuff.

That thing is all over. I was at the Golden Nugget sportsbook last week & that ad was popping up every other ad break on one TV or another it seemed. But yea that is/was the move with letting people know Canelo didn't die or retire.

Pretty smart to have a fight previous to May/Sept too so people got a feel about where he'll be fighting now. It'd be less ideal to be showing these ads in April & hoping everyone you want to find them finding them.

They talked about limited advertising, by placing things in the background sort of thing. They gave an example of if they used coors then they would have coors bottles around the crowd/teams - rather than direct advertising

They also talked about scrolling advertisements on screen, possibly via interactive sponsorship live within the background - so more subliminal

Then Facebook style advertising by when your using the app having the odd advertisement amongst the options

I took FB-style advertising to mean in-app ads. So rather than showing ads when you're watching the fight, a taco bell ad will be displayed as you're scrolling DAZN and look for the fight.
