Comments Thread For: Kauffman Vows To Shock The Odds, Score Knockout of Luis Ortiz

Heavyweight contender Travis Kauffman literally asked for bigger challenges-specifically 6-foot-6 and 6-foot-7 former title challengers Gerald Washington and Dominic Breazeale-after swapping first-round knockdowns during a majority decision victory over late replacement Scott Alexander in June at Pioneer Event Center in Lancaster, California.

This guy has lost to 3 journeymen, although the Arreola loss was ruled a no contest afterwards. But seriously, if he can't beat Chris Arreola (even a juiced version), Amir Mansour (almost as old as Ortiz's actual age), or Tony Grano (who-da-***?), then he won't beat Ortiz unless the old Cuban forgets to take his asthma and heart medication for the week leading up to the fight.

"In July, Ortiz flattened Razvan Cajanu in the second round to rebound from a three-knockdown, 10th-round stoppage loss in March to Wilder, whom Ortiz had badly hurt and nearly out on his feet in the seventh round.

Cajanu had lost his previous fight in May 2017 by unanimous decision to then-unbeaten WBO titlist Joseph Parker."

How did Parker go 12, with a guy that Ortiz blasted out in 2? Either Ortiz is really good, or Parker is really bad! I expect Ortiz to take out Kauffman in 8! Should've been Ortiz vs. Breazeale in the first place! Even Ortiz vs. Kownacki would've been better! MAN UP!

Ortiz could have fought Whyte. Let's stop acting like he's some overly ducked threat.
