Comments Thread For: Josh Kelly Very Eager For a Rematch With Daniyar Yeleussinov

Josh Kelly says he is on a collision course with former amateur rival and Olympic Gold medallist Daniyar Yeleussinov. 'Pretty Boy' faces the toughest test of his eight-fight professional career on December 8 at the FlyDSA Arena in Sheffield when he defends his WBA International Welterweight crown against former World Champion David Avanesyan, live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN in the US.

I think Daniyar needs a couple more pro fights but once he does he'll beat Kelly all the way. Just better talent and skills.

I think so too. I do like Kelly though.

Yeleussinov looks like he has started warming into the pro game in his last couple of fights. Opponents weren't great but it looks like he's making the proper transition now. I expect him to start making some waves in the next year.

He thinks he can reinvent boxing. He doesn't have to worry as long as Eddy has the reins, he'll face the usual cheap imports. It wont take a real contender, just somebody who knows what he's doing to pick that "style" apart.

Eddie needs to get Yeleussinov some proper experience first

Yellusinov looked better in his last fight. Eddie won’t make this fight anytime soon

Hearn and Booth have moved Kelly very well so far. His next fight is a big test

I think Yeleussinov is simply a better athlete with better fundamentals though. I'm certain he'll look more impressive once he has a live body in front of him instead of over-matched journeymen who only want to survive

I said in another thread the Rios fight should go to Yeleussinov instead of Kelly sometime next year. Whilst the UK commentators were needlessly slagging him off at the weekend, they said if he got put under real pressure hed revert into ultra devensive mode, Rios would be a good test of that. Much better than sticking Rios in with Kelly, just to get a name on the resume.

Definitely want to see this fight in the future.
Eddie needs to get Yeleussinov in there against good opposition. They are constantly talking about having Kelly fight guys like Amir Khan and others, but why not Yeleussinov?
Wouldn't mind seeing Yeleussinov against Khan next year.
