No boxer is ever retired...they are just waiting for the best offer.
I think its probably still a 50/50 proposition that Floyd sticks around til he finally drops a fight.Comment

^^^this
Whether it's taking on an MMA fighter whose boxing pedigree basically stopped at being an Irish junior Olympian in his early teens, or looking at a 122lb kickboxer, or even considering a grappling ace like Khabib Nurmagamedov, Floyd has no intention of stepping in for a remotely serious fight with anyone at this point, as things should be for a fighter who has earned maybe a billion dollars in fight purses (taxes, camp expenses, manager/trainer/etc fees, etc, Floyd's likely cleared $500m in boxing money for his career).Comment

hes not retired. He already offically had a press conference promoting his next fight, so he is officially not retired.
And no one was talking about him when he was retired. Wasnt even threads being made about him no more here.Comment

Mayweather is an active fighter, looking for a fight. Oscar & Canelo put their bid in, Canelo is one of the best fighters of TODAY, Mayweather was one of the best fighters of THE PAST, they just letting Mayweather know if he out here trying to prove that he is STILL that guy they more than willing to make it happen and give him that chance to demonstrate if he can. This is boxing. Fighters fight.Comment
