Canelo dared to be great fighting Floyd at such a young age and though he lost, he learned a lot. The age difference is such that he was never going to get a legitimate rematch. He was always going to be much younger and the better he got, the older Floyd got. Beating Floyd now isnt like beating the Floyd then. Doesnt even matter.

He gained a lot from that fight especially being so young.

Floyd should say he’ll fight him after the kick boxer even if he doesnt. These guys stay talking s hit to each other and in a sense using each other anyway.
Floyd would also get alot more credit beating canelo now then he did then

11 fights to go Canelo and Floyd Mayweather isn't 1 of them. It's becoming clear that Canelo is looking for the easiest low risk fights out there in order to secure his 300m.

But that fact of the matter is he's going to have to take the hard tough fights at this point. He's already going in the wrong direction imo he should have been trying to move back down back to 155 154

He knows he doesn't have the height or reach to deal with what he's going to be up against in these higher weight classes thats why him and his team are still calling for a fight with a almost 42 yo career welterweight

If they were smart they'd be looking at a Spence showdown in the coming years. The Mayweather ship has sailed and it's not coming back, at least not to his shore.

Talk of this fight is way past its prime

Why is anyone still talking about a fight with Floyd? He's retired and in his 40's. Canelo fans let it go. You lost...deal with it and get over it.

People have a short memory span. Here are the facts for anyone who was either too young or doesn't remember the events leading up to how the fight was actually made

          1. Golden Boy, particularly Oscar De La Hoya called out Floyd, continuously for months after Canelo won his fight against Shane Mosley. It was not the other way around.
          2. Canelo was 154 and Floyd was @ 147
          3. Golden Boy suggested the catchweight clause in order to get the fight. When that occured Floyd agreed to the fight
          4. Canelo was 42-0, I'll repeat it 42-0 when they fought.

Can someone please, please explain to me how a fighter is considered inexperienced with 42 fights??? I'll wait.

The fact is Canelo got beat by a better boxer, period. A prime Floyd and a prime Canelo, floyd wins the fight every time. Canelo is too flat-footed. Floyd would touch him and turn him all night just like the first fight.
The fight was not close, not close at all, so why is another fight even warranted? It's actually pretty funny when you think about.

Is Canelo and Golden Boy still that butt hurt over a fight from way back in 2013. Did Floyd give a Canelo a "boo-boo" that still hurts??
Sad man....Canelo just can't let that @ss whipping go.

You don't get it do you? Floyd Mayweather doesn't need credit he's already an all time great 1st ballot HOF.

If Canelo couldn't beat him at 23 with over 40 fights when Floyd Mayweather was a 36 year old man that's not Floyd's problem. He doesn't need a rematch.

They also act like 23 is some baby. Canelo was actually 23 and 10 months almost 24 years old and basically in his mid-20s

If he wants retired fighters...why not call Andre Ward out??? Canelita fans don’t want to see that.lol Canelo had his shot and got schooled by an all time great...no shame in that.

A baby boy at 23 lmao I see why everyone here thinks you’re a joke. That means Floyd was a senior citizen at 36 when he fought Canelo. How do you get beat down by a small old man
