  • When the student is ready, normally the teacher shows up. In this case, Canelo already got schooled. This was a classic on my part. Taking a bow.

    • AFAIK, all 10 fight previous to Mayweather Jr, Canelo fought at 154 pounds.

Then he is forced to starve himself into a skeletal super-drained inexperienced 152-pound rookie who worried WAY MORE about making weight than the training itself.

Then comes the complete wrong strategy, trying to box and jab the most tricky and cheating master of cowardly defense of all time, and one of the best pot-shotters ever.

And his perennial issues of lack of stamina, that seemed solved for the very first time in his entire career, vs. GGG II, where he pressed the fight from round one to 12, backing up the guy who was, until that very day, the most feared and aggressive pressure fighter of his era.

Reversing all those flaws, which is EXACTLY what would happen if they agreed, say to a 157 catch weight fight, and Canelo, experienced as he is now, would agree to a fine for every pound of overweight, he comfortably would come to the weigh-in at 160-161, totally healthy, paying a fine just as Mayweather himself did to a three-division smaller JMM and voila! There you have a huge, strong, smart, accurate, fearless Canelo who EASILY WALKED THROUGH ALL GGG'S PUNCHES IN THEIR LAST MEETING and in turn, left him completely busted both in the mid section and face, and had him walking backwards the entire fight.

If he walked over mighty strong and powerful GGG, backed him up the whole fight, put a beating on both his face and body, he will have a picnic walking through 41 y/o Mayweather Jr's girly pot shots. Canelo just needs to connect 3-4 clean punches while walking through maybe 10-15 pillow-fisted caresses from Floyd, and that's it, there goes an unconscious Mayweather Jr. to a hospital, to never ever step on a ring again.

And that ridiculous discussion of who's the "A side" let the PPV viewers decide. BEFORE PAYING for the fight, let them select who is the A side themselves, and then. the one who gets more votes, is introduced as the A side, and after the fight is over, they split the money according to what the paying viewers decided. That's democracy. And fairness. However the split ends, that money will be very good for Mayweather Jr's post-fight hospital and medical fees, no doubt.

        • [QUOTE=Robi13;19303681]Canelo wants it, if it doesn't happen it's because Floyd don't want it. Simple as that.[/QUOTE

Why would Floyd come out of retirement to fight a guy whose next fight is at 168 and who on fight would probably weigh 180+...For what? Would you when then fought 5 yr ago Floyd was right at 150 on fight night he was 148. Floyd is a TRUE WW Canelo Super MW

U call 2lbs weight drained what about the fact that he rehydrated. 16- 20 lbs whose has the advantage then. Floyd probably doesn't even walk around at 154 FOH

All this talk that he's a complete fighter is BS, he still is the same fighter he just looks good against the fighters he is fighting.
I agree. Canelo got a good lesson in slick boxing.
