For everyone saying Liddell was ripped off by the UFC, he made over $4 million during is UFC career (not including a 6 figure UFC office job). If Liddell wasted away over $4 million, thats his problem. That should have set him for life.

Liddell has a net worth of $14 million, so he did NOT need this fight.

Damn that's phuking chump change he was a superstar selling millions of PPVs and his career high payday was only 500K? Also the 250K was only his fight night guarantee BOTH Ortiz and Liddell said that the deal they signed gave them a percent of PPV revenue and live gate ect. Both said large percent unheard of from what they ever got from UFC. But let's say the fighters are lying and they don't see a dime from the PPVs this weekend that fight night purse is larger then all but a few purses he got from the UFC which we all know phuks the fighters. 4M in purses for a everyday person sounds good but when you a athlete that generated 100's and 100's of millions and you walk away with just 4M of the pie that's called ****.

Thats only Liddell's purses, not including his PPV revenue shares - which Im sure was way more money than what Liddell earned on Saturday. A higher percentage of nothing is still nothing

Liddell also got paid money for merch by UFC.

When Liddell was at Pride, he was making 50-75K if he was lucky.

I never once heard Liddell complain about UFC pay. And neither do most guys at the top. Its the mid-level and bottom UFC guys who beat the drums regarding pay.

I hate when people round off age when talking about things like this. It’s like when people say Canelo was 20years old when he fought Floyd. Reality is Chuck Liddell was 48yrs old Tito is 43yrs old not a big gap in my opinion. Oscar didn’t make Chuck sign the contract and I’m one of Oscars biggest critics. TBH the commission shouldn’t have signed off on McGregor Mayweather. Floyd ruined Conor and could have hurt him worse if the referee didn’t stop it, luckily Stev Smoger wasn’t the man in the middle on that night.
