Comments Thread For: Adonis Stevenson: I Want To Prove I'm Still King - I'll KO Gvozdyk!

Adonis is special, how many other champion over the age of 41 are competing and beating the young lions as consistently like Stevenson? I can only recall Manny Pacquiao - who holds a fake championship ( regular WBA welterweight title ) and IBF flyweight champion Moruti Mthalane ( 36 ) who come close to steadily maintaining a high level of success like Adonis Stevenson. Frankly Adonis should of lost to the names I submit to you YEARS AGO.

When Adonis beat Chad Dawson for the 175 lineal championship Stevenson was 35! Cloud, Bellew, Fonfara x2, Bika, Karpency, Williams Jr, Jack followed. This is not normal, you could not have picked a better moniker than 'Superman'. What a warrior and athlete.

    LONG LIVE THE KING!

gvozdyk will look to avoid the left hand whether or not he'll be successful in doing that,we'll find out soon enough, his reaction to tasting the left hand if he does get hit will be worth noting too..things will get interesting for Stevenson if gvozdyk weathers the early storm and is strongly going for the finish,I doubt adonis cardio is strong enough for 12 hard rounds at his age..so I think it's a toss up of chin(gvozdyk) vs cardio(stevenson),whichever is able to take advantage of the other man's weakness will be the victor

When is the last time that Stevenson beat a young Lion because I can't remember. I saw him cherry picking from 2013 on

The Karpency fight proved that Gvozdyk doesn't have the best chin. If Adonis lands then its over. Gvozdyk was seriously hurt and wobbled across the ring until the end of the round after a right hook by Karpency.

Jack already beat him. That draw was a gift.

Dawson ( Lineal WBC ), Cloud ( former IBF top 6 ) , Bellew ( future WBC Cruiserweight champion ) , Fonfara x2 ( top 5 ) , Bika ( former WBC Super Middleweight Champion ) , Karpency ( top 10 ), Williams Jr ( top 10 ). Adonis beat Badou Jack! Lets just see Bivol, Beterbiev, and Alvarez run through something similiar, they cant, THEY WONT!

Adonis didn't beat Jack...so basically the last young lion he beat was Bellew in 2013 ? Let's see how he does against Gvozdyk...if Stevenson beats him then respect to him.

That makes TWO top five wins for Adonis! Just this year alone.

It's possible. But he has to KO Gvozdyk early. The longer this fight goes, the worse it will be for Stevenson.

I don't like Gvozdyk hiring Teddy Atlas. I think Teddy's training methods are outdated, much like Abel Sanchez's, and his fighters have taken Ls recently.
