What is given you the idea I'm a huge wilder fan? Where have i upped wilder and downed AJ. Neither is special skill wise, entertain. They both get my total respect as warriors and men. With that being said Joshua and wilder equals in my book.Comment

you come on here and defend Joshua/Hearn like you are getting some of his money..I call it ****** because it was a flat offer, even they know it was ****** as now Hearn said he has a better offer right??? why change a offer if it wasnt ******?Comment

I dont think Manny should have done it, ggg shouldn't have done it. And they didn't. And wilder shouldn't either. Fights of this magnitude arent flat rate fights. This their fighting to see who the best is in their weight. Top dog. Championship. They should compensated fairly. I'm not saying their should get equal splits. But as ridiculous as it is for wilder to suggest 50-50 it is equaling insulting to offer a champion 15 mill flat out of a possible 100 mill fight .and that 15mill pays for training camp, travel expenses for the team, manager, agent.Comment

You call it ****** because you're a Wilder fan. You wanted Golovkin to take a flat offer. You can't stop flip flopping Larry. They change it to make the fight, same reason Canelo changed it. Doesn't mean the original was a bad offer.Comment

I am not a Wilder fan at all to be honest..I even said Goldenboy needed to adjust to make the damn fight happen..Comment

15 mil for wilder/AJ is low money for wilder...that fight is big....on its own......all fights aren't equal you dummy....wilder vs anyone else at HW for 15 million IS GOOD money.....everyone else at HW isn't Joshua though
I suspect you cant be that dumb to not realize the difference...but just wanted to take a shot at wilder since he makes you insecureComment

There's a lot of head scratching going on here. It's a PPV fight, so there's a guaranteed portion for both fighters, and then a PPV split. I have no idea what type of projections this newspaper is using to come up with those numbers.
Taking a reasonable stab at it, we know that they agreed on 50/50 split. We can assume that applies to the guaranteed portion. Using the above projected salaries, we can approximate that the guaranteed purses are somewhere between $3m - $7M. Let's meet in the middle and say each is guaranteed $5M. Then we can assume that the disparity in purses is because Wilder is guaranteed most (or all) of the US PPV money, and Fury gets the UK PPV money.Comment
