Comments Thread For: Yes, as a matter of fact, Wilder will win big heavyweight battle

By Lyle Fitzsimmons - It's all in the voice. Well sometimes, at least. Given the nature of boxing as a sport, it's not terribly surprising that fighters express confidence during interviews. In fact, it's probably far better for an athlete's health given the violent means by which victory is secured that he or she enter the ring thinking success is not only imminent, but guaranteed. Still, it's particularly noticeable in some instances...

Wilder is fighting Fury because he knows Fury is not ready to fight at a high level yet. Stop giving Wilder props for cherrypicking.

Props to Wilder for fighting a dangerous boxer like Fury.

Literally the worst fight to tell people it's a fact Wilder will win. Fury can't legitimately lose if Wilder can't win rounds and is forced in desperate circumstances as the rounds get shorter .

Fitz going into sensationalism mode here. Yeah, Wilder has the equalizer. And Fury is much better of a boxer. You can always give Wilder the solid puncher's chance, but Fitz doesn't really even acknowledge that Fury has much better boxing skills. I think Fury will surprise a bunch of fans Saturday night. As always, the Wilder bomb could land, ruining Fury's plans. But the thing is, I have seen what happens to Wilder when he gets frustrated. His timing and footwork are already weak, and they get weaker as he gets frustrated more. He could improve his game by just developing a bit more patience and a bit less rushing to get it over with. Will he do that? That's the big question we'll get answers to Saturday. Can't wait.

He's been a pro for a decade and has 40 fights. We shouldn't give him credit for taking on a dangerous boxer.

Which one would be a better win for Wilder, Ortiz or Fury?

                  Exactly this.

Fury will probably get the early rounds, my prediction is that he'll take the first four and then Wilder's athleticism will take over, Fury will concede a lot of the ring and once he's being backed up more and more it'll be a wide looping right that will rock him.

I think Fury will go down once and get up but then the ensuing barrage of Wilder haymakers will force the ref to stop the fight.

I see 7th Round TKO Win for Wilder.
