British light heavyweight contender Frank Buglioni, 29-years-old, has decided to retire from boxing. This past Saturday night, Buglioni was outboxed before being stopped in five rounds by undefeated Chinese boxer Fanlong Meng in Monte Carlo. When your hearts not in it no more it's good to get out
It's more the fact that he had nowhere else to go and had found his level was domestic. He deserves respect for getting in the ring in the first place, but he would never go beyond British/Euro level.
I don't blame him, getting beat by Meng was the final straw. I now know why Anthony Yarde was desperate to fight him. And he doesn't fight anyone with a pulse.
