FIW, I saw half an hour of the wire and was bored out of my fking mind.

All the other TV show is not even on the level of The Wire in terms of depth and complexity. It requires different approach than other TV shows because it's structure is more similar to books and literature than movies.

The Wire isn't really an entertainment, it's a sociological research and study. It took me more than 7 episodes to get interested in it, so it's not for audience who's looking for easy entertainment. But this show is legendary and considered to be the best thing on TV by a lot of people for a reason. It's slow buildup, way more fun in the long run

If it's slow paced it doesn't mean it's bad. It just mean you're not the type of audience that enjoy this kind of plot development, which is not a bad thing at all. And it's perhaps the most complicated TV show too. Every taste is different.

I don't shame nobody, I just thought that more people supposed to be aware of this classic
