AJ wanted no parts of Ortiz. Only wilder would fight Ortiz. Ortiz is a master boxer who can also punch. Behind wilder he is the most avoided fighter. AJ and his handlers are smart, they haven't put him in with any real threats yet. they want to make as much money as possible before facing wilder.
Ortiz hasn't achieved much in either Amateur or Pro career.
Klitschko & even Povetkin achieved much more winning Olympic Golds & Belts.
Total BS. First, he said "it's not ideal to fight Wilder now, but we're not living in an ideal world", now he's saying this. He bit Winkle's bait cuz he got drunk with that fake $50M "offer" to AJ and falsely fought that he could make something similar fighting Wilder.
In reality, it was Winkle who first came up with a question to Frank about the possibility of Fury fighting Wilder when they were plotting that fake $50M "offer" to AJ. At least that's what Winkle said in one of the interviews (on one of YT channels).
Nahh. It's more like Wilder believes he can knock Fury out silly, after over 2 yrs of inactivity and having 2 comeback fights vs nobodies. Fury looks in great shape though. But, can he dodge Wilder's relentless assault for 12 rounds, is the big question.
This isn't news or a surprise to anyone who follows Wilder . I didn't imagine it any other way because Wilder doesn't take fights unless he has an angle to use, in this case it was a rusty Fury .
It's also the major reason why I'm taking Fury because I don't think Wilder can beat a top guy if he doesn't out reach them or out reach them significantly and Wilder thought Fury was going to be out of shape.
Wilder puts skills last , that's not the guy to put your money on it he's the favorite , besides betting the fight itself has already Fury at the advantage being the boxer but he's also bigger then Wilder so the puncher doesn't even have the size advantage not a significant speed advantage either .

I’m not convinced Fury is in great shape. Although his physique is better than it was, he’s lost 130lbs in under a year, that will take its toll.
He really struggled in Big Bear too, so I think he might be on the verge of overtraining.
In an interview the other day Tyson said he had lost a similar amount of weight in the run up to the Martin Rogan fight. He was awful in that fight - and probably should’ve lost.

What makes Ortiz a "master" boxer? What has he accomplished that makes him such a master boxer?
Povetkin was not a real threat? If Ortiz is a master boxer then Povetkin who was a much better amateur and has done more as a pro must be a super master boxer.

Fury needed at least one more tune up before he could have a realistic chance against anyone in the top 5. I've heard him say things like:
"If I lose, I lose"
a lot in the build up to this one which is very unlike his attitude for previous fights. I think he already knows he lost, I really can't see him lasting 12 rounds in a competitive fight. He's also repeatedly said:
"The old Tyson is gone"
He's saying that he's better than ever now (which is what you'd expect him to say) but I think he only says that to insulate his career from this upcoming loss so that he will still be considered undefeated in a sense. He'll say "I wasn't the same fighter after the depression and alcohol and substance abuse, of course. But the Fury who beat Klitschko would've beaten Wilder, he never lost. etc."
I would love him to win though, what a story that would be. But I really can't see it.
