Thats actually a step back for him. If he beats Takam on December 22nd then he is straight in the contender mix. Hearn might even sign Hunter in a 2-3 fight deal.

I remember when Usyk was scheduled to fight Hunter people were saying that Hunter was no good. Then when Hunter does well in the first three rounds people were saying that Usyk wasn't very good. Now look at them both.
Usyk is the Fighter of the Year and Hunter is embarrassing some of these Heavyweights.

I still think Hunter should go back down to Cruiserweight, maybe he will once he has that title he wants. Hunter is tricky and could beat several guys at Heavyweight, but it may be a better move for him to do something at Cruiserweight.
