Finkel, move on to fight who? Breazeles of this world, any other AJ's leftovers? AJ has more belts and offers 5 times more money. Why would anyone even consider fighting Wilder? You have nowhere to go.
Maybe they should send Joshua some tickets if they want him at the ringside. I'm sure Klitschko didn't have to pay for the tickets when he was at the ringside of AJ vs Molina.
When Klitschko was at the ringside the contract to fight AJ was already signed, yet Wilder's team don't even want to talk about making the AJ vs Wilder fight?
Wilder must focus fully on Fury, because that is a tough fight stylistically. The good thing for Fury is that he has excellent boxing skills and that gives him a good chance of victory. The concern for him would be that a cruiserweight, Cunningham, knocked him down. Wilder is the most powerful puncher so he will always be a threat until the end of round 12 if he hasn't knocked Fury out by then.
“Eddie Hearn made a deal with [Ortiz] to keep him from fighting Joshua, yet Deontay fought Ortiz and beat him. Deontay will also fight and beat Fury. At that point, when you match up the resumes, who has Joshua fought that makes him No. 1 and not Deontay?" - Shelley Finkel
Finkel spitting nothing but facts! If Wilder beats Fury, he's #1 until proven otherwise! Joshua could make a statement by whooping Ortiz in April! I think that's a better fight than Whyte or Chisora!
Parker saw Wilder KO Washington and decided to change course. Bellew met Wilder up close & said no thanks. Povetkin saw Wilder KO Szpilka decided to start juicing. Fury saw Wilder KO Szpilka and jumped in the ring to challenge him. All fighters ain't built like Fury. Fury runs towards danger.
Joshua is playing the snob card. He acts like he's too good while he hides, and his fans are left defending his no show. I've never seen a fighter hide and not promote himself, steal the limelight, or berate a possible opponent. I guess Joshua is too much of a gentleman, or scared.
when will team wilder realise they chase joshua, not the other way round. joshua doesnt need to take the long flight to LA to watch a circus fight.
Good point but if AJ was present, it would benefit the heavyweight scene, the British boxing stable of awesome talent, and he could show himself to the casual fans in the states.
Not a smart move. I know he doesn't need it, but he would greatly benefit from it.
