Pacquiao only a small favorite against Borner?

Bovada has it Pac-230 vs Broner+180

Seems like Mikey was much higher at 5/1. Thought Pac would be much bigger favorite then this even if he is washed up.

they always do this when broner fights for some reason. a lot of people thought he was going to beat mikey, same as with porter, same as with maidana. i dont think its ever going to dawn on people that broner sucks, they just wont admit to themselves that they overhyped him on the way up and their 'eye test' is absolute useless. once the 'adrien broner- im taking it serious this time' articles start rolling out dont be shocked if this is some 50/50 fight

      Rightly so.

Pac is two years older than the fighter he was that went life and death with Jeff Horn. Don't let him being a shot to bits Matthysse fool you.

Pac is old and washed up by his standards. i still think he can beat Broner though.

Yeah I remember I got 1/2 on Mikey. Mikey opened at 1/5 but all the money came in for Broner, I guess some people still buy into the hype

I get it but that same shot to bits Matthysse after a long layoff came to starch Taylor who Broner arguably lost to.

Broner could end up a slight favorite going into the fight if people feel think Broner will be "Serious" this time. You never know though Pac age could show up even worse then before.

Yeah, i still think Pac wins.

I never got this whole "depends which version of Broner" - The guy has never beaten a top fighter and never will. There are no different versions of Broner. He always turns up in shape to fight and ready. He's just a B-level fighter at best and always has been. Nothing wrong with that, it is what it is. He's nearly 30 too, he isn't going to get better or change.

But Pac showed in the Horn fight that a younger fresher fighter can give him serious problems, guys with only a fraction of the talent that Pac has. That's down to age and nothing else and Pac is even older now. Even with Horn's rough style, a younger Pac would have went through him like he was nothing but he can't anymore.

That's why i think the odds are close. I don't think the bookies are fooled by Broner, they are not ******. I think it's just having an honest assessment of what Pacquiao is at 40 without being sentimental about a legend

Pac is old... That's all it is about. Still Pac will beat him.

Like the other guys said, Pac should have enough to beat Broner.

Will there be an All Access for this? I assume so.

                  That will be funny

If you have to bet $230 to win $100 on Pacquiao that makes him a solid 2 to 1 favorite. Mikey and Broner are in their primes while Pacquiao is 10 years past his prime so that's why Mikey was a bigger favorite over Broner than Pacquiao is. Mikey would probably be favored to beat Pacquiao because of age. Great fighters get old and become still good but no longer great fighters. Pacquiao is still very good but not as good as he once was. I think he will beat Broner without much trouble because Broner has trouble defending against a hard attacker with fast hands and combinations. Pacquiao also throws two or three times as many punches as Broner. My odds would be 5 to 1 in favor of Pacquiao.
