As over the top and annoying hes personality is, i think its fair to say he was an over achiever. Watching the Bob Agejisaf and Orvil Mckenzie fights, youd never have thought he'd get much past British domestic level.

Just watched Creed again last night as well. Tony matured with age and was one of those guys that maximised his talents. He gave us many chuckles along the way (usually unintentional) and shared a ring with some dangerous guys.
Look forward to listening to Big Tone on Sky as he makes an excellent pundit. Now he can get back safe to his wife and kids all the time. Enjoy your retirement, Tone - and just don't frickin un-retire in 12 months time.

Like after the 1st Cleverly fight. It looked like Nathan would outshine Tony career-wise, but it was Tony that had the last laugh.

Wish him the best. He did much more than many people who had many gifts that he lacked. He believed in himself and worked hard and had quite an impressive career all things considered.

I’m glad to have watched him look like what I thought would be a typical Brit who would never find much success outside the uk and develop into a fine world class fighter.

Hats off to Bellew. It was a pleasure to follow his career.

He was a world f uckin champ. Put some respeck on his name. Him and his have a lot to be proud of!

I thought Tony will make a last run at the heavyweight division.

Well, thanks for a successful career.

He was an overachiever that ended up having a very good career that spanned 3 weight classes, and also has some notable victories.
