Smith, Fielding, and JCC have all been champions at one point in their career. There are 4+ "champions" per weight class today. It's not right, but that's boxing today and to say "bullcrap" isnt badmouthing me..its badmouthing boxing (rightfully so).

Nonetheless those 3 are champion level guys.

Which is why it's so crazy that Golovkin made it to so many PFP lists (not mine, ever) as he STILL has only 5 champions in 40 professional fights. That means 5 guys hes fought were ever, at the time, or went on to become champion.

His competition was really THAT BAD.

Fielding, Smith and jcc are examples of why boxing is so watered down and how having a belt is not as significant as it once was. Those guys suck and you using them to defend Canelos recent resume is laughable. The guys faced those 3 c class fighters, combined with another overmatched scrub in khan, and 2 credible names who were in their late 30s in cotto and ggg. That's been Canelos resume for the past 4 yrs.

Signing such a big deal I would had expected more. Canelo came off a big hard fight but before that he didn't fight for a year.

Canelo demanded Lara, against the wishes of his promoter, because he heard fans say that Lara could beat him

Canelo demanded Golovkin, because he heard fans say that Golovkin could beat him

when did Hypekin ever do anything like that ?

what did Hypekin do when faced with similar challenges ?

1) making silly excuses to avoid Lara

2) making silly excuses to avoid Mora

3) ducking Ward TWICE in one calendar year

4) avoiding Saunders

5) ducking Derevyanchenko

6) ducking Charlo

7) trying to avoid fighting Danny Jacobs so desperately that it cost him a fight date over 250k..... and then scraping past Jacobs when the fight eventually happened

8) refusing to negotiate on weight with Cotto, then saying this...
