My problem with floyd is that he is overhyped.

I get how good he is. But his defense isnt as good as people think. Most people act like hes a defensive god or something. Nothing ever lands blah blah. Then they eat up the narrative so when he "shakes off punches" his defense was SO good and punches dont affect him. Meh. I dont like stuff like that. I like the objective things.

And then, when you have to pay money to watch his **** fights. I dont like that either. He wasnt always like that though, but Manny-pac was disgusting. That's the best example. Dude just comes and literally runs the ring the entire fight. Dude doesnt even care to fight and fights the bare minimum knowing since hes the A side hell walk out as long as he doesnt get knocked down or knocked out.

Like what the ****? I might as well have watched some amateur boxing or some local fights or some **** because they were far more entertaining. And that's just it, it wasn't entertaining. It was just a show.

Just like how fighting McGregor was a show and now this Japanese "exhibition ".

That's my beef with Floyd. He claims hes TBE but he isnt. Hes a shell of what he could have been. He had all the tools but his heart? Doubt he had it. He only cares about the cash. Hes a businessman first. Once he was the A side his style became ****. Effective. But **** to watch.

My question and it's a serious, simple one: does that mean you prefer your fights to go down like Norwood/Gainer?

I think some of Floyd's fights are boring but I wouldn't prefer Norwood-Gainer.

I don't understand why this is the absolute alternative if you think Floyd is boring. There are plenty of great fights that weren't foul fests. What a ****** argument.

Who while winning was better defensibly than Floyd ?

Put a name to reference against what you are saying instead just making a wild statement.

It's not even a wild statement at all. Big difference between "Pretty Boy Floyd" and "Money Mayweather".

Name put. Himself? Lmfao. You act like I'm ****ting on your hero. I respect the skill not the style. I'm not allowed to have that opinion?

Later in his career once he established a lead instead of continuing the fight he literally coasted till the end. Imo, you cant even call that defense.

Imagine if his name was not floyd. Imagine he wasnt the A side. Imagine anyone else using his style.

Prove me right dude. I said his defense isn't as good as people say and you instantly got offended. Lmfao. You would be a liar if you acted like he won every fight in a landslide. We both know he had close fights that again, his name, "style", and narrative won.

          Castillo? Maidaina?

Imo, defense isnt just not getting hit whole moving backwards but also while moving forward.

Imagine floyd vs floyd. It would be trash.

              Jesus read dude.

There is no one better. What does that prove? Because literally if you could read I dont approve of his method but its hella effective but imo boring to watch? Why? Because especially later in his career he would just win enough rounds and coast to the end of the fight. Manny vs Pac? A huge sham on both fighters. Mayweather didnt come to fight. Dude walked in, sold the narrative, won enough rounds by doing just enough. It was effective and he won, but ****ing terrible to watch. You gonna tell me it was what you wanted to see? That Floyd was not exciting to watch like his younger self.

This is like talking about Michael Jordan. The greatest basketball player. Literally his myth is way bigger than the man and what he actually accomplished.

Jordan was clutch. 10/10 would take him to take the last shot and he would make it. Truth is he missed like half the shots in the clutch. Was he clutch? Yes. But some people like to think Jordan gonna make it 100% of the time with his killer instinct.

              Do you get the comparison?

Lmfao. Acting like I disrespected your god or something. Just saying you fans blow **** out of proportion.

Tell me. You like floyd vs pac? **** fight. I would rather watch two dudes with gloves wrestle any day over that trash

                So you didn't like Mayweather/Maidana 1. Right?

I fixed your top statement there for you as you had some typos.

                The second statement...so that's a yes? Norwood/Gainer preferred?

That is a yes 100% Like some othe dude said at least Norwood/Gainer had some entertainment value.

Also, learn to read dude. I said it was a SHAME on both fighters. Manny and Floyd. Also. Didnt know this thread was about Pac. Thought it was about Mayweathers style but I guess not.

Like dude, it's like watching Wlad. Jab jab clinch. Over and over again for like 10 years. Effective but not fun to watch.

The guy got his 50th win in a **** show that only had entertainment value where he didnt even need to try against a dude making his pro boxing debut who couldnt even beat anyone worth mention at that weight regardless.

No knock on his skills at all. But again, argue against the point that it's fun to watch because most of the time imo its not.

That's all I asked, and that's all the answer needed.

Not your later rant or grossly, bias-infused inaccurate comparison of Floyd's average 1.5 clinches per round to Grabomir's average 16 clinches per round against Pedvetkin.
