Rigondeaux now training with Ronnie Shields

Can Shields get Rigo back to the top or is he too old to comeback?

It can't hurt him, but the sand is running out of the hourclass of Rigo's career so I'm not sure it'll do all that much good either.

I stopped caring about Rigo after the Lomachenko “fight.” Finally lost all respect. I would’ve had much higher regard for him if he got knocked out cold in the first round.

I do feel Ronnie Shields is the best trainer for SKILLED BOXERS so I think this is a perfect fit. Probably picked Shields because of Lara most likely

That's odd to say the least. Back when I was in high school Rigondeaux would train down at Savannah's in Houston with Ronnie Shields back when he was training his fighters out of there before moving to Plex out in Sugar Land.

I guess Rigondeaux is linking back up with Shields. Hopefully it turns out good for him.

My Cuban friends felt the same way but they seem to be somewhat excited about him training alongside Lara. Told them Loma was gonna smash him but when he quit they flipped.

No shame in losing, especially to the bigger, younger, at least equally talented man. But making no effort whatsoever after you’ve signed on is inexcusable. I couldn’t care less if Rigo was training alongside Ali, Dempsey, Robinson, whoever. The truth is, Guillermo allowed his best years to waste away. There’s really nothing left.
