Adrien Broner and his ilk prove that this culture we celebrate so much just isn't good for our overall prosperity as a community. Imagine if we have a million Adrien Broner's (which wouldn't be far fetched), that's at least 8 million beefs:

It's the culture. We have to start small to change the culture... This culture is a cancer. Nothing good comes out of it but death and jail. I know it sounds cliche, but it's the truth.

I probably won't see huge impactful changes in my lifetime, but I'm hoping I can drop the seed that will harvest after I'm gone.

I think starting with fining some of these boxers, athletes, etc that use this word is a darn good start at cleaning up the culture.

The saddest thing here is that Broner is actually seen as a ROLE MODEL for a huge % of young African American males. I raised this point in another post and got got some hate for being 'racist'...

If the black community actually denounced Broner and others like him he would not get away with being a racist, acting like a thug and basically being a failure as a human being.

It's a self perpetuating cycle - guys like Broner get away with stuff other people get crucified for because they play the race card at will. If they are criminals - its because they are 'thugz', if they are bad fathers - it because they are 'players', if they are uneducated - its because of institutionalized racism.

African Americans like AB get away with a violent, irresponsible and unsociable lifestyle because others within their community fail to denounce their behavior - and in many cases encourage it.

Any positive black role model (and there are MANY) get shouted down by their own communities.
