Comments Thread For: Hearn: Wilder-Fury Will Be Terrible; Fury Will Get Knocked Out

Eddie Hearn would welcome an Anthony Joshua-Tyson Fury fight if Fury upsets Deontay Wilder on December 1. Wilder's rematch clause would probably preclude a Joshua-Fury fight from happening immediately if Wilder were to lose to Fury at Staples Center in Los Angeles. Hearn suspects Wilder won't have to exercise that contractual right because Joshua's promoter can't see Fury defeating Wilder in their fight for Wilder's WBC heavyweight title.

One thing I don't like in this era of boxing is how promoters will openly degrade other cards. Do they realise its hurts the sport overall to do that?

Oscar, Eddie, and Arum (less so) engages in this behavior too much. You don't have discredit others to be successful.

This is a big fight regardless of his "opinion." He just put on a mismatch last week and nobody complained. He's basically predicting the same outcome in this fight.

        It's silly...

What a senseless statement .After what shyte this muppet put on last night ...a punch drunk shot Rios a women's chief support to a ridiculously over weight and limited fighter against a guy without a single name, young or old on his record! Eddie Hearn is truly a transparent twat who is trying his upmost to take away the thunder of a huge heavyweight 'pick um' fight that he and his fighters are only spectators to.He had his chance and like his fighter cowered away but still tried and is still trying to lay off the blame. This bloke is a clown and hasn't got the balls just to grin and bear it .....he's the Tony Blair of boxing!

Hearn is so paranoid right now! He knows that Wilder beating Ortiz and Fury will make him "The Man!" He also knows that if Fury wins, the rematch clause will make Fury vs. Wilder in the UK, which will make Joshua "the other guy" until at least winter 2019! Hindsight is 20/20! If Fury wins, I hope the rematch is in the UK...IN APRIL! Lol!
