Ortiz didn't achieve much at all in those 349 wins, he wasn't even the best in Cuba only got gold once out of 5 attempts at national level next to nothing at World am record (1 gold panam thing, and silver in the 'word boxing cup' whatever that is) .

Povetkin consitently 1st in national comps, "won a gold medal in the super-heavyweight division at the 2004 Olympics, gold at the 2003 World Championships, and consecutive gold at the 2002 and 2004 European Championships."

Basically Ortiz had a shed load of fights in his local gym but nothing that actually means anything.

Pedvetkin sure did accomplish alot back then when Russia was known to dope and eventually was banned from Olympics. He does not look to be the same monster as he once was, wonder why.

Lol Ortiz is a PED cheat as well caught for real steroids, (nandrolone) when he was looking any good then he got caught and fought the likes of Allen and Scott and looked crap, wonder why.

Ortiz was caught for using banned substance but as a country Russia was all in with doping at that time. Big difference.

              • Cuba is also known for their boxing program. Russia known for... Sad to say doping.

What's your point? We're not comparing Cuba to Russia.

Ortiz and Povetkin are both PED cheats how is Ortiz okay to use PED's because Russia was as county? I fail to see how the points link.

Sad to say boxing is known for PED use and corruption.

                    • Sure is but to be ranked first in doping in Olympics by a wide margin and be funded by the soviet gov to dope in Olympic games says much more.
Would be nice to see povetkin vs Ortiz go at it without peds. Sure we all know who would win that one.
