Its been hard to make fights BEFORE Dazn. Dazn didn't invent the situation they are in. They inherited it.

Everyone right now is trying to do there own thing & are loaded up with money is the specific problem right now, PBC has a 4 year deal with Fox (idk if there is a specific deal with Showtime, but they seem to have a very serious handshake agreement with them & thats been going on), Top Rank has there even longer deal with ESPN/ESPN+ & Eddie & Oscar are with Dazn for 8 & 5 years respectively.

I still see fights being as makeable as they were previous to the current situation, but I do feel like these 3 main ent^ties need to come to an agreement that makes fights more makeable as its in all their best benefits to keep this rising tide rising.

But mostly I disagree with your take something has changed. I don't see that as the case & if something did change its not the new guy (Dazn's) fault ffs. They were born into this boxing segregation bs that Bob has been supporting more than anyone else in the business for a couple decades now.

PBC and Top Rank are the biggest in-house stable.

When was the last time a decent Top Rank fighter fought on a PBC or Eddie Hearn show?

Eddie Hearn just let Maurice Hooker fight on Top Rank ESPN+ this Friday.

I think TR is the biggest in house stable. PBC guys fight more places than anyone. Vargas is PBC. Jacobs is PBC. Beterbiev is PBC. Hell Dazn's f#cking announcer Sergio Mora is PBC. I think Eddie doesn't let his guys out of the box as often as Haymon lets PBC guys go live their best life wherever.

The only time I can think of TR doing anything with a name guy is Manny for the Floyd fight lol. Thats how tight TR is with inhouse fights. They had to be a part of the biggest fight in boxing history for Bob not to be lead promoter for a name TR guy fight.

Eddie didn't let him. Eddie lost the purse bid.

AJ and Hearn are the A side. Wilder will have to fight on dazn for the fight to get made.

I wanna believe this is true, but idk that it is. Or that its easy to do. And who the f#ck wants to piss off your business partners, your promoter & manager, over going against the tide for some legacy sh^t that only matters to fans? I can't imagine many guys. Most boxers probably don't even seem to care who they fight next.

Personally I think all that sh^t needs to be taken out of the hands of the promoters, managers AND fighters any damn way. Only in boxing does no one actually run the sport. You can do virtually anything you want as long as a ABC Group & commission are cool with it. Boxing needs to run boxing & fights should be made by a higher power in boxing or guys should be in pools of various levels of talent (not unlike how minor league to major league baseball works) where guys have to pick opponents from a select group of similar skill level opponents. The way boxing operates is complete bs to a high level competitive sport.

Usyk/Bellew was big. All the belts on the line.

              Andrade/Saunders was gonna be big.

And it's only been going for 3 months. And none of them even involved Golden Boy.

So calm yourself and stop fanboying.

Wow it's only new give it a chance. The two biggest stars in world boxing will be fighting on it in Canelo and AJ, that good enough for you? Or are you too ****** to realise any fight they have will be a big fight?

Then you have Miller, Whyte, Beterbiev, Usyk, Jacobs, Andrade, Callum Smith etc etc

They have literally just got started.

Irrelevant wishful nonsense, which you know will never happen.
Thread is about this erroneous nonsense that you have to sign up with DAZN first to make fights happen.
Usyk was not with Dazn. Povetkin was not with Dazn.
Saunders was with a competing promoter, yet it was made,
except that BJS screwed up at the last minute.
                    Just some examples.

I disagree. I think it'll happen eventually cuz it makes all the sense in the world & its something all the other sports do. Boxing is really the only popular sport that people watch that I can think of where its so free market-ish. And therefore its not as appealing to most sports fans for that reason. Or from talking to casuals thats the opinion I get anyway. Boxing makes no f#cking sense in how it operates like every other sport people watch does.
