Which of these two prospects has a brighter future? And if they fought at say a years time, who would you favor?
Jaron Ennis or Josh Kelly?

Ennis' speed advantage carries him further I think. More fast twitch reflexes.
Besides I'm not a fan of that hands down **** he does sometimesComment

Kelly is the more polished one imo with the better backing and progression, but Boots has the higher ceiling imo. If Ennis gets matched well his next few fights and gets a chance to progress properly, I think he ends up with the better career.
I said it in the RBR last night, but I would put Ennis in with Ray Robinson next. A fringe world level guy that just fought Ugas and a fellow Philadelphian, would be a big fight in the city of brotherly loveComment

Taylor is the better of the pair by a margin in my book. The kid's got real talent and the venom to go with it... and his body attack is some thing else. Kelly will probably end up with a strap but I think Taylor could end up on the P4P lists - thing is he may be on a collision course with Prograis who is a formidable talent in his own right.
I got Ennis over Kelly just on the eye test, but of course it's really early days for both.Comment

I mean Ennis is 21 years old only, he's being moved just fine. In fact, pretty insane he already has 21 fights in his short career. Now it is time for him to amp up his competition. Put him against someone like Ray Robinson as BigZ44 mentioned or someone like Sammy Vargas. Was going to mention Josesito Lopez but he has a fight lined up with Thurman already. But by the end of next year I think Ennis will be a legitimate contender at WW. And you can pretty much say the same with Kelly.Comment

I'm going with Ennis...Kelly relies alot on his reflexes and I don't like that. Seems like Ennis can do everything well and has better fundamentalsComment

Would say Kelly would win at the moment because he's been in with much better competition. Despite Kelly only having 8 fights he's already ranked 25th on Boxrec whereas Jaron has had 21 fights and is ranked 35th. Until either of them is in with real competition I think its difficult to say who is the better prospect. Avenesyan will be a good measuring stick to see where Kelly is at and if he's close to being reading for the world champions. Hopefully Ennis can get a step up fight soon too.Comment
