Kavaliauskas is a very good fighter (on par with Ugas and much better than the guys that Thurman and Danny Garcia are fighting next). I don't think he'll ever be ready for Crawford though, TC is just on another level to these other guys.

Meh. Average fight. A little worse than Ugas. Except Crawford is a lot better than Porter.

Crawford isn’t fighting an elite boxer anytime soon. In fact, he never has. It’s not his fault, but that’s what it is.

That's right Arum has got to do what he did when they made Mayweather vs Pac man.

Kav is literally a nobody on the International stage, Crawford on the other hand is arguably the P4P best boxer on the planet. He should now be challenging the best in the division, not upcoming prospects. That's my point.
Isn't that how it works ?, up & coming prospects getting in a position to challenge for the title.

Ive been watching boxing almost 20 years. I remember when I had dial up and didnt read boxrec much. I remember when HBO would be talking about the upcoming fight for the number 1 or 2 in a division (and a top 3 p4p guy at that) and it would always be someone I heard of before. Maybe they were on the undercard the previous fight. Something.

Nobody knows who the *** Kavaliauskas is on a site dedicated to boxing, with way more information available than ever before.

That didnt used to happen except maybe roy jones when there wasnt chit going on at 175. Everyone else, morales, DLH, floyd, barrera, hamed, lennox, ect, when they were fighting somebody, you heard of the muther***er before.

Terrance Crawford, a top 3 p4p fighter and the number 1 at 140, number 1-2 at 147, shouldnt be fighting someone I never heard of in a stacked division.

No, I am a FAN of the sport. I want to see the best facing the best. If Kav had beaten one of the recgonised names in the division I wouldn't have a problem. I just don't like to see someone like Crawford facing an unproven fighter. If he signs to fight one of the big guns and fights Kav as a stay busy, again I don't have a problem, but I don't understand why everyone is trying to convince me Kav is the real deal without having beaten anyone of note.

This is probably a major reason, but I also imagine Arum isn't in a rush to got fight Thurman or Spence. I'd guess he'd be happier to fight someone like Porter, Brook or Garcia. Maybe even Khan if they had no other options and wanted a spectacular KO on his highlight reel.
