Super bantamweight Diego De La Hoya will not be in action on Saturday night in his native Mexicali. According to ESPN Deportes, the young Mexican fighter fainted while training for Saturday's fight, which is scheduled to take place at the Plaza de Toros Calafia against Edixon Prez. More than likely Seniesa Estrada will replace him as the headliner of the card.

It's time for Diego to move up in weight. The question I have is does he have the stature to move up in weight?

I would have really liked to see Diego vs Rey Vargas, Danny Roman, or Dogboe.

The good news is for him that their are a lot of solid in house featherweights with Golden Boy Promotions.

A solid test would be Diego de la Hoya vs Manuel Avila.

Surprised this doesn't happen to more guys. It's crazy what some will do just to get to a certain weight class that they borderline shouldn't be fighting at.

Thats not good at all. After that Diego might want to skip 126 and start a campaign at 130.

it does you just don’t hear about it. It’s a brutal sport and weight cutting can be dangerous. That’s why the fans should have a little more respect for fighters considering all the work they put in. Hopefully he’s ok and can bounce back quick
