Comments Thread For: Anthony Yarde is Pumped To Land Spot on Wilder-Fury Card

ANTHONY YARDE HAS landed himself a spot on the biggest night of boxing in 2018, with the self-styled 'Beast from the East' set to fight on the huge Deontay Wilder-Tyson Fury card at the Staples Center on December 1. The 17-0 (16KOs) WBO Intercontinental and European champion will have his 18th professional contest in Los Angeles on the undercard of the huge heavyweight collision between the WBC world champion and the unbeaten lineal champion of the division.

Any word on who Yarde's fighting on this card? Hopefully it's someone worthwhile to justify why he's ranked so high by the IBF. Officially he's at 5, but as 1&2 are both unfilled he's effectively IBF's 3rd ranked LHW and he's fought nobody of worth yet.

Fairly short notice for it to be anyone worth while. He seriously needs to step it up.

Nice I was just wondering when we could see Yarde in bigger fights and venues I think he’s a top contender and excited to see what he does in the future

someone washed up like korobov would probobly be too dangerous. even someone who hasnt fought in over a year in Shabranskyy would be too dangerous.

likely to be someone like Renold 'the dungbeetle destroyer' Quinlan.

He can fight stiff for another two years and hope that somebody gets stripped he will not fight any of the current champs to dangerous for him.

Light heavy is too deep for Yarde to take the fast track that some have taken. Not too bothered by what they are doing. Even he acknowledged that they are moving along slow.
