Comments Thread For: Mark Heffron vs. Liam Williams on Warrington-Frampton Card

Mark Heffron taking on Liam Williams is to become a reality at the Manchester Arena on December 22, live on BT Sport Box Office. Heffron, 21-0 (17KOs) and Williams, 18-2-1 (13KOs), collide on the undercard of Josh Warrington defending his IBF world featherweight title against Carl Frampton in what is certain to be an absolute barnstormer of a fight.

Crazy fight for Willams to take after his last 2 opponents. I thought he was slowly building back up after his two close fights with Smith.

Moving up to MW to take on an avoided puncher is a big risk IMO. Should be a solid fight and not complaining, I just don't see a way back for Williams is he loses this.

Pretty much agree, it’ll be a good fight but questionable matchmaking for Williams. Heffron is a big Middleweight who’s moved down from 168 as well

Man, Heffron is a beast at MW..... very brave but possibly ****** move from Williams here.

He gets my respect either way as he always steps up to fight stiff competition.

I feel sorry for Williams, i thought he beat Smith both times, which would of put him in line for a world title shot, and now he's been thrown in with guys at weights he doesnt belong like hes a journeyman...shame.

Yeah credit to him for taking the fight, I think it’ll be a decent fight as well. It isn’t PPV worthy but this Warren Dec 22 card has some good, competitive matchups on it.

Yeah, solid British level title fight for an undercard.... it could steal the show like Whyte/Chisora..... neither guy is going to give up or get beat easily.
