200k would be a very solid number for this fight. I don't know if it reaches that much. Ward vs Kovalev didn't nor did any of GGG's fights vs non-Canelo opponents.

It will do more than those 2. Ward/Kovalev, though a good fight, those two can't sell and never drew a big crowd. Same with GGG fighting on PPV. Mikey will the draw the Mexican buys up and tickets will sell well between them. Mikey has been fighting infront of 10k plus his last few fights, same with Errol.

Good points!! I feel like the support from the Hispanic fan base will contribute and that they will do their best to promote this fight. But I don't think it'll do any worse than Ward or GGG though.

We shall see. Numbers wise, both are doing good numbers on SHO but not GREAT numbers. Only Broner/Wilder are touching a million or getting close to it. So how big are these two exactly at the moment? Could it be those two going up against each other can generate the 200k buys? Possibly, but I wouldn't bet on it.

Wilder/Fury PPV numbers will tell us something about how well these fights will do. If it does bad, then you can't expect Spence/Garcia to do much better.

Except the fact Ward AND Kovalev were both doing 1 million+ on HBO. They were drawing very good ratings. Spence/Garcia for the most part are in the 600-700k range. Obviously SHO has less viewers, but you can't really say they are bigger names than Ward/Kovalev. On par? Sure, but bigger names? Off what exactly? Ratings so far haven't backed that up yet.

Wilder-Fury is PPV in December, Pacquiao-Broner is PPV in January, and Spence-Garcia is PPV in March.

Beyond those three PPVs, you still get the Charlo brothers doubleheader, Keith Thurman's return bout, Porter-Ugas, Leo Santa Cruz coming back, Garcia-Lopez, and that's before we get the Showtime schedule for the first quarter and the FS1 schedule.

Sad to see folks ***** about a first quarter schedule that will likely deliver 10 good fight cards and 3 more to pay for, lol.

For those that killed GGG for taking that fight? Those can absolutely kill Spence the same way. Those that defended the Brook match up? Nah, sorry you can't be killing this match up then.

One difference? Two of Mikey's last three fights have been at 140 and he just won a title in that weight class last year.
