Comments Thread For: Hearn: Joshua-Usyk Will Be A Massive Fight One Day, Not Now

Eddie Hearn envisions a day when Anthony Joshua-Oleksandr Usyk will do big business in the United Kingdom. Their promoter wholeheartedly agrees with Usyk, though, in that the Joshua fight isn't quite right for the undisputed cruiserweight champion just yet. Usyk intends to acclimate himself at heavyweight by boxing a less dangerous opponent once the unbeaten Ukrainian leaves the cruiserweight division behind.

    and so it begins

joshua's career is goign to turn into a sideshow, he'll get complacent, and in 2-3 years he will lose. just looking at the totalityof hearn's rhetoric it's easy to see now that he's determined that he can keep joshua as basically a football star, who UK casuals will watch no matter who he fights, becuase htye don't know enough abotu the division or what constitutes a mismatch or a duck.

quack f3cking quack . ducking a cruiserweight now? a fight with a dude at his peak, just knocked out the biggest name to add to his stature in the UK other than fury or joshua, and on the pound for pound list needs to build? capitalize on teh f#cking momentum, don't wait for it to die off eddie!

    yeah f#cking right

Joshua willing to fight Big Baby, Dillian Whyte, Derrick Chisora, Joseph Parker, some other random heavyweights. He's too scared to face real competition like Wilder, Fury and Ortiz.

i don't think joshya is scared. hearn certainly is. he's protecting an asset from unnessary risk. he can make a ton of money fighitng no hopers and risk very little. yeah, you make more against wilder or usyk, but not enough to justify the risk of losing out on your easy fights for big money 2x a year.

dillian white again is the one they are really targeting, and a fight i expect to happen next year. in the meantime joshua's fanboys will be calling wilder a bum. while eddie hearn gets them to pay 20 british pounds for a rematch of a landslide. really.

by doing what? keeping joshua away from deontay wilder?

trying to take credit for goldenboy promotions doing a deal directly with dazn?

oh yeah, war eddie, he's saving boxing for sure. definitely isn't the main reason joshua and wilder didn't fight this year.

Finkel, Warren, Hayman are spiking the Joshua fight. One day they'll let their baby heavyweight fight.

It will be the fight of the decade. 2 London Olympic Gold medalists, 2 undefeated Unified World Champs in their primes. This fight will be bigger than Klitschko vs. Haye.

                    Stop hyperventilating.
You do know that Hearn sent another offer to Wilder's team, with everything (% split and 2-way rematch) they claimed as reasons for not accepting the 1st offer though at the same breath they claimed they accepted the 1st offer. So which was it?
