  • Comments Thread For: Bivol: Pascal's Style Will Make Better Fight Than Chilemba Bout

Dmitry Bivol decisively defeated Isaac Chilemba on August 4. The unbeaten WBA light heavyweight champion started strong, took control of their 12-round title fight early and won all 12 rounds on two of the three scorecards (120-108, 120-108, 116-112). The Bivol-Chilemba bout became monotonous in the later rounds, though, and didn't exactly equate to riveting television three months ago at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey.

Yeah but at least he keeps busy. The big fights will come, so he might aswell be active.

Not like the PBC fighters that go missing for a year, come back and then fight people on the level of an old Pascal as their one fight a year.

I wanna see someone get into a dog fight with Bivol. Make it ugly and see how he handles it when he can't control distance.

Bivol here putting all the blame on Chilemba but when Chilemba would actually stand his ground Bivol seemed confused and apprehensive. I think Bivol settled on pot shotting his was to victory and didn't really want to exchange.

If Pascal plans on going out witj guns blazing, i dont see this as an easy fight for Bivol.

He looked great in the beginning, and good throughout, but I guess I wanted to see him close the show w/KO. Perhaps he injured something?

Agree, Pascal might give Bivol some trouble if he has anything left. He has a rythm that disrupts boxers.

I think Bivol didn't know how to go in on Chilemba's gaurd. If you saw Chilemba vs Gvozdyk you could tell Gvozdyk wanted to ko Chilemba, he busted him up and actually made him quit.
